Empowering Women (2010-2012)

The aim of this Leonardo Partnership Project is to facilitate the development of a model for business innovation courses for women in science, engineering and technology. By creating a model for business innovation courses for women, the consortium wants to address the need to encourage and to enlighten the dormant source of European women in technological business development. Thus a platform like this is needed, to fully realize and share the potential of companies, founded by women, based on female values and intuition.

OBJECTIVE AND STRATEGY

The project’s main goal is to facilitate the development of a model for business innovation courses for women in science, engineering and technology.

The main goals are the following:

1. to analyze the entrepreneurial environment for women in science, engineering and technology in Europe.
2. to analyze entrepreneurial gender discrimination
3. to analyze the main barriers preventing women innovators to start their own business.
4. to understand which special training and support does this target group need that is different to others
5. to create a model for training and support - What kind of modules are needed to motivate women innovators to start their own company?
